Red Creek MS fishing tips?

Going tomorrow AM for a day float/fishing trip.
Here's a picture to get an idea what the majority of the creek looks like.
I'll be toting an ultra light spinning reel as well as a lightweight fly rod. The water is the red/rust color the whole way. I'm not very experienced fishing small creeks like that and any tips or bait recommendations are greatly appreciated.
ETA: Should I fish eddie pools or in the current or even where some calm water meets the current? I'm gonna bring a bunch of rooster tails i know that.

Soft plastic with very small weight or no weight fished on downstream side of laydowns. Always works on the small creeks/rivers that I have fished. Caught 80 bass between 6 of us a few weeks back on the Guadalupe that way. Rooster tails, beetle spin, and fly also work just not quite as easy to fish as plastic.

This is what I came home with. Will report back with the results. Will probably mostly be fly fishing but will definitely give these a shot.

Probably a chocolate milk color the way its been raining in MS. Wouldn't think any rivers are going to be much good for at least 10 days without rain as far as kentucky bass go.
But good luck anyway!
ETA: I'd be shocked if that pic wasn't taken with at least 2weeks or even a month of clear weather. Most Mississippi rivers don't clear up very fast....to kinda answer your question, spinnerbaits and beetle spins are my go to for redeyes.

Strike King Mini Pro Buzz 1/4 oz., fish downstream side of laydowns and eddies. Start your retrieve before it hits the water, u can't reel it too fast. Should catch plenty with it.
