Majority of nukes on any boat I'd been on, when they would eventually crawl out of their holes, were weird as frick and probably the most socially awkward people in the Navy. But they're usually pretty smart so you gotta take the bad with the good I guess

About 3/4s of them were the typical awkward types you knew in HS.

I didn't hang out with those guys.

Some of them were cool though... but most of them were dorks.

Back in the early days when I was standing Aux Aft I used to hate having to go to maneuvering. You never knew wtf those weirdos would be doing in there.

Once I remember walking up to the door and I could see that the lights were out. I opened the door and all of a sudden there's this reddish glow. One of the nukes (a cool one) had his nutsack stretched out to cover the entire front of a battle lantern. He was waiting for me to show up so he could turn it on.
