Probably not $350K+ neighborhoods. But many middle class neighborhoods aren't in that range. I recall when most of Algiers was decent, when Woodmere was decent, when Terrytown was decent, when much of New Orleans East was decent. None of those were 350K areas but still fine places to raise a family. Add some apartments, sprinkle in an oil bust and watch Section 8 go to work.

Very Little in New Orleans would be considered decent by any one outside of New Orleans

I was born there and met my wife there. I love the city which means I love parts of the city
