Has anything happened lately? Seems like the last was a change of venue request by Chief. Was that ruled on?

LSU will have another win against them before anything happens....

He'll probably be wooing the judge most of the trial until the LSU legal team presents some case winning facts in the last two minutes.

Settle out of court for undisclosed terms. Rumor in LA is that Chavis paid the whole $400,000 so he could get confidentiality and avoid embarrassment, and A&M footed the bill. Rumor in TX is that LSU rolled over under threats of countersuit and accepted no payment. Both fan bases will be calling the other school "our bitch".

I expect the Texas court will dismiss the case in favor of Louisiana where it belongs.

Glad the old bastard is gone!

Yep!
Business is business but what he did was low rent and personal towards LSU.
And to think that frickstick insinuates tha LSU doctored the contract after he signed it!
Tells you all you need to know about his character.

Lets dont question his character now that he's left. No one knows the complete story. It was reported that Les wanted him to stay which says something about the man's character and ability, imo.
Chavis was bitter about something at the end. Lets find out what that was before we call him out. Things can get very personal especially when these types of egos are involved.
You are asked to pay back 400k, but your legal team advises you not to pay it. What would most of us do?
Lets see how it plays out and who blinks first. Similar to Goodell vs the Patriots. Both sides seem determined.
As far as insinuating that LSU doctored the contract, I have no clue. But if he was too dumb to keep his copy of the original then maybe u are on to something.....

He met w/ Sumlin the week before our bowl game. I've lost a lot of respect for Chavis & Sumlin for not waiting until after the bowl game.

I would pay it back if I started with another team and I knew I violated my contract. And he absolutely knows the truth. Now if you can explain him in their plane, in their gear, contacting a recruit......and NOT be in violation of his contract, I'd love to hear it.

Which is why he did the above mentioned actions yet wants to steal our money.

I question his character because of how he left, not because he left.

We aren't blinking. We have a contracT, the law, the evidence if his actions, all on our side. We don't have to blink. We just ask the courts to uphold the terms of our legal document.
Allbtge rest is the smokescreen of that guilty parties try to use. In the end, the contract is the law, and it's in our favor
