I actually think that a vote could have been held by SGA to divert some funding. I'm not sure how popular that would be but this would have had to happen a long time ago. Once funding was approved for the contract documents it was too late.

This was added a few years ago, before the current financial situation. I don't think it was the student's responsibility to predict what has happened since.
