What should they spend the money from rec fees on, teacher salaries?
There is basically a near unlimited number of things that should be placed on the list ahead of "LSU-shaped Lazy River" that have to do with the rec.

Have you seen the UREC Expansion plans?

Looks pretty nice. The construction area is huge

The entire outdoor pool area, the lazy river or the fact that it's shaped like LSU?

They were always going to have an outdoor pool area and I'm pretty sure the river was always a part of the design. The shape of LSU just happened to fit.

257,177 sq. ft. Student Rec Center

Approx. 1/3 mile indoor jogging trail with inclined slope

40,431 sq. ft. cardio/weight space

8 multi-purpose courts

Renovation of Student Recreation Center Locker Rooms

Outdoor Adventure Center

High low ropes course across from UREC SRC

Fitness Assessment Center

Leisure pool in the shape of LSU

9 new tennis courts (opened Fall 2014)

Addition of 300+ parking spaces at Student Recreation Complex (opened Fall 2014)[/quote]

That is what the $$ is being spent on. That is what was voted on. People are bitching about a drop in the bucket for something that has to do with student living

This is not a budget cut issue
