No that's not correct. The institution can raise tuition however they like. This was voted on and accepted and paid for by the students. Faculty can also use it although they haven't paid a dime into it. Hes entitled to his opinion and can say what he likes but it doesn't touch the money appropriated for education. If he cares so much maybe he can put a petition together to lower faculty salaries and then that money could be put into improving the education. Didn't think so. Stop bitching.

But if the fee bill is already let's say $500 higher, than it's harder to increase everyone's tuition by $500. People may have voted for that increase, but it makes it harder to add any additional increases (such as tuition that would directly help the university). Just because you voted to add that money, doesn't mean it's magically easier for all students to come up with that money. Every time you raise the price tag, you knock out a percentage of students that can no longer afford the bill. And we are doing this for a freaking lazy river?
