Not really. BP's authority is to determine immigration status. Once that is satisfied, they are done. Not to mention that Supreme Court just ruled on this very issue. Police can't detain you to "wait on a dog" in order to try to justify a warrantless search.

That's not their only job, drug smuggling is a big part of their job. This girl probably wasn't smuggling drugs but she was a bitch and although it's not a crime, the cops use their power to their advantage to tase this bitch.
