Well apparently he doesn't "where" watches [sic], so his father-in-law should totally understand. It's not as though he could have been upfront and said, "Phil, I really appreciate the gesture, but you should give this to someone who would appreciate a fine timepiece--like pretty much any grown man".

I'm embarrassed to live on the same planet as a guy who would immediately sell a watch that he was given just because he doesn't wear watches. Sad stuff.
