I plan on purchasing a Sub at some point and will pass it down in hopes that it doesn't get sold.

Don't ever sell the watch, it's a gift

If you ever get in a $$$ bind, that'd be a different story. Just be thankful for getting something nice

I agree completely. I was just giving him the practical advice that if he was going to be an ingrate, he should at least have to common sense to not throw it in the guy's face. Believe me, he's going to ask about that watch at some point if he never sees the OP wearing it, and he probably won't be happy to learn that a son-in-law that he thought enough of to give $7500 timepiece is that unappreciative.

He must not have any sons.
