I don't think that's quite what they mean. They're not saying "you have to take a liberal arts class to fufill the major's requirements" but rather "you might not be able to get into that math/eng prerequisite class this semester that you're required to take to enroll in the course you need next semester to stay on the flow chart's four-year plan."

Some business and engineering students minor in subjects you would consider bullshite courses. From languages to graphic design.
My friend was a accounting major here at LSU a few years ago. She wanted to minor in Portuguese, but after they cut the program, she left. If the same thing happens to more languages and other "bullshite courses" you will see similar correlation effects.
Just because the course isn't crunching numbers the whole time doesn't mean it's a bullshite course. You strike me as a very selfish Ayn Rand type person who uses the word me/I in every sentence. I hope that changes.
