There's been so many players have great rookie or 2nd/3rd years in the NBA and tapper off.

Perhaps, but no one has had the career arc that Davis has had thus far.

Take David Robinson, a player with a similar game to AD. Robinson put up a PER of 30.7 in 1993-1994. His per 36 numbers were 26.5 pts on 50.7% shooting, 9.5 reb, 4.2 ast, 2.9 blks, 1.5 stl, and 2.8 tov. AD just recorded a 30.8 PER with per 36 numbers of 24.3 pts on 53.5% shooting, 10.2 reb, 2.2 ast, 2.9 blks, 1.5 stl, and 1.4 tov.

Robinson put those numbers up at 28 years old and in his 5th season in the league.

At 22 years old, in only his 3rd NBA season, you could argue that Anthony Davis just matched the best season of David Robinson's career.
