Save their arms till the NCAAs and then throw Hoover and Walljasper.
That isn't how softball works…"saving arms" isn't nearly as big of a deal as it is in baseball. The way Torina has used her pitchers this year has already served to "save their arms". None of the 4 pitchers have had an insane workload at all.
There is a kid at San Diego State who has thrown 245 innings. THAT is a lot.
Hoover has thrown 95 innings. Walljasper has thrown 86 innings. Them "wearing down" at the end of the season will absolutely NOT be a factor…in fact I think they should be what would be considered to be "well rested".

You're right. I can recall Arizona riding one blonde pitcher, and only her, all the way to a national title a few years ago. LSU could go with two pitchers from now until the final out in OKC and they would be fine.

I get what you're saying, and I vividly remember Monica Abbott as a good example of "resting" pitchers.
However, Torina wants to win a national title more than appease to a couple of players. I think you pitch Corbello and/or Selman in the first playoff game, then ride the other two the rest of the way to play it safe. You can still use those two for situational at bats and even relief.
I'm confident Torina will know if the Selman who pitched against Florida and Corbello who shut out Kentucky will be present in the postseason. If they aren't, I just don't see how or why she won't stick with Hoover and Walljasper
