I was thinking the same thing. His tech guy probably activated automatic updates and it had a lot of catching up to do which can drag down the HDD.

up until about 2 months ago I was performing windows updates every sunday for example and it just stopped allowing the updates to happen and I was getting errors - the errors have cleared up.
just that webpages freeze up for example
