I saw one yesterday with a power pole and touch screen GPS/sounder. I stopped and watched him try and scoot his tub toy across a grass flat, I guess his flappy peddle drive thing is worthless in that situation.

I don't get it. Why dump all this cash into a kayak that's too heavy to pick up and needs a foot of water to peddle?

Because they enjoy kayak fishing.

Because if you do have the water deep enough it is a dream. And if you don't, pull out the paddle and it's like any other kayak. I guarantee I have caught more fish because I bought my hobie.

Now all that extra stuff(ie electronics) is not for me. I still have my ascend for old times sake
