If they can obtain a warrant from a random methhead pulled over for a traffic stop, yea, they can get a warrant based on info from your family.

At least she asked for a warrant. Now it has to hold up in court. I have to wonder what the probable cause was though, I doubt disagreeing with a teacher is cause for a search of the house.

Not in LA, if you're a minor here you have to have parental consent to question their underage child. So if they didn't get parental consent, the entire premise for the warrant would be void.
