My first home - tried to buy something affordable and "financially smart". Affordable meant neighborhood going to crap apparently. I had a realtor that didn't know the area. It was so hard to sell. I was the only person in the neighborhood who had any business owning a home (keeping up with yard and regular maintenance).

I may never get over that but hey isn't that what this thread is for? I feel better already.
