Chambers has a lot of sand, but the fairways are pretty wide. Its off the fairways that gets tricky. if you miss, the course makes you pay.

Are they not going to narrow the fairways like they usually do for Opens?

I don't think so. I was talking to one of the keepers there and all they plan on doing is letting the roughs grow to where if they miss, it will be hell.

He said these will be some of the widest fairways in US Open history.

Played CB on the trip out to Seattle for the LSU Washington game. It was fairly new at that time but it was a great experience. The views are fantastic. When you step onto the property, you are greeted with a fantastic look over the quarry and the Puget Sound with the lone tree perched near the water. The course looks even more intimidating from above but it's most certainly worth it.
