As much as this board would hate to admit it, this show is pretty much just like BBT, only much raunchier.
Um, no. Not at all. If all you see is nerds then you are missing everything about the show that sets it apart.
Just a horrible, horrible skin deep comparison.

Said millions of BBT fans.

Coming up with a formula to determine whether jerking off hundreds of men in a limited amount of time is possible? Doing a SWOT board to decide whether or not to tell someone of a possible fatal error they have made?
Yeah..... BBT has never done anything like that on a much more "network tv friendly" level.
Maybe I exagerrated a bit, as the shows are not "just like" one another, but the comedic formula for many of the jokes is extremely similar. Nerds use nerdy ways to come to conclusions for ridiculous hypotheticals. Obviously, there is much more to the story arc on SV, but honestly, I've almost completely stopped caring about whether PP succeeds, or not. The "redeem the failure of last episode/fail again at something else" that occurs EVERY single week has grown tiresome. I appreciate the show for what it is good at doing... Which is making me laugh.
Sorry that a show you enjoy shares similarities with one that is popular to hate.
