I dunno. It was a pretty great book that they made into a shitty movie. I'd think it would be worth them taking another shot and trying to do right.

Even Herbert appreciated Lynch's effort - I'm not saying it was perfect (and studio interference, other artistic compromises, it would be a 2 or 3 picture story in today's market), but it was ambitious and visually stunning - it is certainly not the disaster some people argue it is, IMHO (and Herbert's, either).
