You are giving the reason why he won't play in the NBA. His game is waaaaaaaay more suited to be a 4. Think Carl Landry or Paul Millsap. Landry is a better example because he has played as a reserve for a significant portion of his career.

If things went perfect for Mickey, and he developed a consistent shot...and he developed the ability to put the ball on the floor from 15 feet and get to the rim, he could maybe play that role. I think that is a pretty long shot at best.

I can't think of any way he could end up playing the 3.

We just have an honest disagreement. Given his athleticism and what he could become defensively if he were to dedicate himself, I think it is much more likely a team could get him to be a poor man's mid-career Tayshaun Prince or a poor man's early career Richard Jefferson (slasher high flyer, not the corner 3 iteration later in his career)/Caron Butler, then the wide bodies of Paul Millsap and Carl Landry (both of whom are taller and heavier than he is).

Obviously, I'm no scout, and acknowledge that you may very well be right. That's just my opinion based on what I've seen from him.
