The belief that God killed thousands of Egyptian children because one stubborn man wouldn't release the Hebrews is far more troubling to me. Or when God personally sent a bear to maul children to death for picking on an old man. Or allow the majority of humans who will ever live to be punished forever in Hell because a woman couldn't follow directions.
