swamie, when you say cut off date for MiLB picks ups, when are we talking here? not sure i like that idea depending on the cut off date

draft will be stocked with the new crop of real life draftees and the import players.

As for expanding the rosters, I dont think you can expand them on the premise of needing room for MiLB guys getting promoted. I can see people wanting more spots added every year. I think part of the dynasty is figuring out what to do with them. Trade the old players for MiLB to fill those vacated spots.. 2 for 1s to clear room.. trade for draft picks etc

I was using the graduation of minor league players as just one example why I'd like to expand rosters. When we draft, we're going to have to cut players we might not want to drop. I can see people who are comfortable with their teams, who draft low in the first round, skip on the draft entirely. The second half of the first round will pretty much be like the 2nd round of the NBA draft.

The second part of what you mentioned is easier said than done. I've tried to move some of my older players to no avail. The younger teams with the promising prospects want to stay young. The older teams aren't willing to trade their promising prospects because they're old and need to worry about their future. You're likely to get 50 cents on the dollar making it not even worth moving.

I'm unsure about the cutoff date. My two thoughts are a month before the amateur draft or at the draft. I wouldn't say too soon after we draft because we're all still feeling out our roster.

I know we have a whole new crop of players plus amateurs, but this year is pretty meh. I think picks would be more valuable if we weren't thinning out minors talent all year.

Hey papz, totally get your feelings on extra spot saying you can go either way. Didn't mean to sound like a frick. I'm just a little more opinionated on roster expansion.

Yeah I'm not for adding any roster spots. Don't really see the need there.
