Every school has to deal with the same QB shortage problem.
Easiest way to combat that is simplifying the offense. That's what the spread is, simplified offense. But you can't run that offense, then say you're preparing your players for the pros, because you aren't.

Yes, and many big name programs deal with the problem more efficiently and effectively than LSU. That's what we're discussing.

We aren't exactly developing our QBs for the pros.

And we have tried to implement this, but that requires timing and we don't have a qb that can throw timing routes. If you go to a practice watch 10 or 6 try to throw a slant, its comical.

Nah, not really. It's not just LSU fans who notice, it's pretty well considered fact across the nation.
