It doesn't matter what you sell if you are the best. I'm working on a project at a distributor where the top guys are making over 500k selling cardboard boxes, labels andJan/San/office supplies.

Agreed..but upward mobility(not to be cliche) can often be capped, although I am technically not capped although I have a base+comm.
It's time for the next thing, just wondering what y'all thought

Yep. I worked in timeshare for a while and the best were making $500k and some making more. If you were really good, you'd make $150-200k, which I did. Sales is where you can make the most money w/o a degree if you're good. Although I did get a BFA for film/television
