College athletes can't figure out that Twitter can be viewed by millions of people. It's not just a private conversation between buddies though too many of them think it is. If I were a coach, I would probably ban the use of social media altogether.

I don't think the kid should've been kicked off the team, and I doubt he would've been had he made the statement about some random girl. He should be punished for being an idiot but kicking him off the team is way too reactionary.
