I have a friend who is an 'amazon author'. He puts out children's books with less than 200 words and a few cheap illustrations. He sells them for .99 to 1.99 depending on how much content is in each book. The thing is he does dozens of these things. He told me he makes more money from the kindle subscription 'free' buys than he does from legit sell buys. It's actually amazing how many 'hits' he gets, he was taken aback at how much traffic he was getting and decided to get serious about it and write material that is worth putting out there and possibly make a difference in the world. A pretty great story.
SO having said that, I think your price range for a novel would be higher but the kindle reader subscription thing sounds like the way to go, because Amazon pays you per/dl and it's unlimited for the users I think. Good luck!![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)
