It really does... our sales guys spend so much time with customers that they very rarely spend any time with their own friends or family.

It sounds great to say you are hunting, fishing, entertaining, etc every weekend/weekday but I can tell you that shite gets old....it gets old faster when you realize most customers are dicks but you still have to hang out with them

This is where I had a problem. I can make it work, but I feel like shite in doing it. It's hard not to take that stuff home.

I could be a good salesperson, not a great one.

this is why I got out of sales 8 years ago.....it wasnt fun anymore.

Now I entertain my customers because I enjoy it and I have the luxury to cherry pick who I do business with. I'm not forcing myself to spend a weekend with people I dont really like.
