#2 made from lucky, horse needs to either get the lead, or sit right behind pharoh, or even on his outside. ZERO speed, except pharoh makes this race a boat race. Such a short field for a Rebel, usually a full field for this race.
The #1 is a superball, bounce of the year candidate. That huge move off of a nice layoff.

It was a really weak field. he did what he had to do but didn't prove much really.
Looking at the chart.
The older filly stakes (Untappable lost at odds on) 24.66 113.85 145.92
An older male stakes went 23.87 112.58 144.88
Pharoah went 24.41 49.63 115.22 145.78
The final time was decent but he really dawdled in doing it.
