Biologist buddy says I should plant it this spring. Y'all ever planted any? He says deer will walk through corn and soybeans to get to it.

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure it can't be planted in MS. Heard it was due to the fact that it can't be distinguished from marijuana via aerial patrols.

Planted some a couple of years ago. It didn't come up great but it did. Never got over about 6" high after the deer nibbled it to the stems. Unless you have a really big area to give it chance, it probably isn't worth the cost.

I may try this mixed with radish and sunflower this summer. All seem to put a good bit of nitrogen back in the soil.

Buddy planted it over here in AL. To answer the Mississippi question, I believe they had to register the plot with the county so it wouldn't be confused with a field of ganja. It turned out alright I believe. Nothing earth shattering
