This is true. I took it in for the inspection. Normally I would do it myself but my free time is limited these and didn't want to have to come back on another day and do the reinspection (its a bigger pain in the arse here than in LA). Didn't ask for a quote but figured it would be around 500 or so for the brakes and rotors. Wasn't expecting double.
What's done is done.
... Essentially I was ready for these comments when I started this thread.
