Grade inflation
Won't argue. I know a HS senior who has made A's all 4 years so far in math. I was discussing some financial stuff with her a few weeks ago. Just basic addition stuff, not interest rates or ammortization stuf, just simple "if your rent is this and electricity is this and you make this much". She could not figure out that bills were significantly more than income without using a calculator.
