That doesn't sound right. Why would you want smaller DT's?

All of his DT's at southern cal were around 300-310 but very agile and athletic. That's what he likes

The idea is that they become more agile and quick off the ball and consequently are better able to penetrate into the backfield or pursue a ball carrier near the line of scrimmage.

Strength , speed , stamina. Nevis dominated in the 280's. Technique, quickness, and strength are more important than bulk..
