No way that's ever an option...I turned a hay field into a ball field in just two growing seasons. Granted, it's no Celebration variety Bermuda turf, but I manage the existing Bermuda good enough with growth regulators to make it viable for Dixie youth play.

What is the best ratio of fertilizer for centipede? I recall reading somewhere that the first number not being very high is important for centipede.

I've got hard, compacted dirt. I've got 3 massive water oaks with associated root systems and TONS of shade. I need to get them trimmed, till and lay sod I guess but if I do all of that and the sod dies, I'm going to be very unhappy. It feels like gambling to me.
