They also could improve the atmosphere so much. Why have a TV blaring CNN and lights cut up so bright?

Play some music. Dim the lights. Would be much nicer.

Agree. I don't know if this is just a disconnect because (in my experiences) their staff hardly even speaks English.. or if they just aren't concerned with atmosphere.

I think it is probably the former. Just something they don't even realize needs to be done.

FWIW, I don't think every restaurant needs a good atmosphere. But since this is not a hole-in-the-wall Asian restaurant like the Viet places are, it needs atmosphere to survive. The place is nice and large.

I did not have this.

I don't want to see them not do well, because I love the food. But I admit I'm in the group that isn't going somewhere like Omi on my Friday night. I'm going somewhere that I can get drinks and enjoy the company I'm with. I like to feel like I'm doing something on a weekend night, and I don't always want that to involve going to a bar after dinner, so a restaurant with a good atmosphere where I can hang out for a bit is a happy medium.

I love this place. I actually started going on Sunday for lunch when I'm in BR on the weekends at times.
Everyone is right about the atmosphere and location. It hinders it for Friday and Saturday night dinners.
I hope this place keeps going and doesn't shut down. I'd be sad.
I actually suggested to some friends to go there after the baseball game Saturday night instead of PF Changs. They did not take my advice.
