This team has been in the game at the end against every opponent this season (unfortunately that also includes some weak teams that LSU should have been better than). Final Four is a BIT audacious, but I think LSU can be a very tough out. Though it doesn't look like it a times, this is a very good defensive team. They give up more points than most because they play much faster than most. Nonetheless, the defensive efficiency numbers don't lie. Musselman deserves a ton of credit for the improvement as he is LSU's "DC" so to speak.
Good defense travels. No reason to think LSU wouldn't contiunue to do so as the season goes on. The biggest concern is, and always has been, this teams situational awareness and decision making. In tight games against great teams you can't let possessions slip away with dumb decisions. Yesterday was a perfect example. LSU had a 10 point lead late with the opportunity to run clock. Instead the jacked up 3 three pointers in a row after only taking around 10 seconds off the shot clock each. The one bright spot was that Jones called a TO to put a stop to it

It's a matter of focus and motivation Alt. CJJ mentioned the first Auburn game where they kids just did not follow the scouting report and what they practiced as the reason an Auburn team that had largely struggled this year, scoring 81 on us.
When this team is focused, they are formidable. The struggles and inconsistency this year are directly attributable to lack of accountability.
At times throughout the season when it looks like we've gotten over the hump in that regard, we inevitably seem to relapse...your point on the inexplicable 3's we started jacking late yesterday another example.
CJJ did take a good timeout as you mentioned. No reason not to be motivated and focused now with what is at stake. No better time than now to play our best ball.
Geaux Tigers!!
