Yes, Jefferson saved the day by doing something at the time Alabama was prepared for. (Run) But you don't bench a player that has performed admirably for you up to that point for the remainder of the season. That's just dumb has I said. Every QB has a bad game! If you used Miles' decision as a precedent all QB's would be benched after a bad game which is ridiculous. The offense under Lee was performing at a satisfactory level. As I said he got jarred by an Alabama defense in that game that could be argued as the best in college football. Jefferson played okay in his place for the remainder of the season, but the passing was nowhere as effective as it was with Lee. Lee should not have lost his starting position.

How would you feel about Miles's approach if Harris had beaten Auburn and never relinquished the job?

The only difference between 2011 and 2014 is that Jefferson improved the offense and Harris didn't.
