That argument is such shite.
Mathieu had a scoop and score against Oregon. Claiborne had a KO Return score against West Virginia. Ron Brooks had a Pick 6 against Auburn.
Those are the only teams Lee faced as the starter who ended the season ranked.
The offense AS A UNIT performed better in the last four games (incl. Georgia) than the first eight. This is true regardless of what you wish to say about Jefferson's passing statistics.

Yes, Jefferson saved the day by doing something at the time Alabama was prepared for. (Run) But you don't bench a player that has performed admirably for you up to that point for the remainder of the season. That's just dumb has I said. Every QB has a bad game! If you used Miles' decision as a precedent all QB's would be benched after a bad game which is ridiculous. The offense under Lee was performing at a satisfactory level. As I said he got jarred by an Alabama defense in that game that could be argued as the best in college football. Jefferson played okay in his place for the remainder of the season, but the passing was nowhere as effective as it was with Lee. Lee should not have lost his starting position.

JJ was 5 for 13 for 30 yds.
If not for TM doing his thing we were gonna get stomped.
Why you people continue to defend the awful play of JJ is mind boggling.
