I'd argue that aTm is the best coaching job in the SEC. Win 10 games, make 5mill a year. What coach wouldn't want to make NC $$$ in their 3rd year for finishing 3-4 in the division?

it's amazing isn't it. the guy inherited a shite load of talent on offense. Sherman had recruited an amazing OL (like 3 or 4 first rounders), manzeil at qb, 2 great rb's (which he wasted) and 2 or 3 extremely good wr's.
but it's all about expectations. because they came to the SEC and they were very concerned with even being competitive and when he came out in year one with a 10 win season and beat bama he was a hero. then he got his contract.
luckiest coach on the planet. but, it seems he can recruit offense guys also. if, and that's a big if, chavis can cause an uptick in defense recruiting sumlin will again be a hero. can chavis, a damn good x's and o's guy, but not a recruiter and on the tail end of his career be the man in college station? stay tuned.
imo, he will marginally improve their D and it begin to show late in his first year. imo, chavis will greatly miss the fine coaching of db's he had at LSU.
