Grades now are given, if you put forth any effort all teachers will give you an A. From layup tests, to bringing shite to class for extra points. My daughter is graduating this year as a straight a student her entire career. She has not been challenged one time in honors, gifted, or whatever programs she has been in. It's a joke, teachers give As so parents don't bitch.

Yes, the idea that a quiz could be = to a test is silly. And even more silly where, as here, the quiz could be more important to the final grade than the test.
