Actually... I'm seeing now that most are around 2.5, so that might cause some trouble. I do have an induction cooktop that I could use instead... I guess I'll do that.

I have two fryers, one wider than the other, but both are pretty deep. This one is about the size of one of mine and it's a darn good price, I think.

you should really own a black iron pot if you do a lot of cooking. that's just my opinion though and I mean nothing negative by it. you can find some nice large pots for around 50-70 bucks that come pre-seasoned and will last you the rest of your life if properly cared for. now is a better time than any to go out and get you one.

eta- I have the 5 qt that gris linked and honestly, it rarely gets used.
