Trailers/mobile homes are built very poorly too. The manufacturers lobby to get the least amount of restrictions on them as possible to pass winds codes and such. It wasn't too long ago that they were still using 2x2 trusses in the roofs with the damn sardine can crimped on metal roofs and no decking.

A tiny house typically follows typical residential construction practices.
