My record was 7 in one year. Twice I've received speeding tickets on consecutive days. I got my first speeding ticket the same day as my license and one the day after.

My mother was not a fan.

Thankfully my best friend's mom worked at the DAs office.

The best one I got was for 120 in a 55. I had been out the country for nearly 3 months and wanted to run my car so took Hwy 14 from Lafayette to Lake Charles. I blew by about 5 cars leaving Kaplan. I noticed one pickup in the middle of the pack pass and sort of keep up but he obviously couldn't. I came up behind a semi not far before the big curve to the right entering Gueydan and the truck starting closing. That's when I saw the blue light on the dash. I had my doberman in the backseat and he tried to take the cops arm off as soon as he walks up. First thing the cop does is ask me where I'm going, I answer and he says "at 120 fricking mph?". I thought I was screwed for sure.
Fortunately, the cops had just been to court and didn't have a ticket book so had to call a patrol car to bring them one. While we were waiting we started talking and I told them my story. The cop said to me, if I had decided to pass that semi they never would have caught me and gave me the name of a road to use next time I wanted to take the car out for a high speed spin. About a week before my court date I got a letter saying they had reduced my 120 in a 55 to a no seat belt violation.

I don't have any problem with mildly breaking the limit, most speed limits are artificially low. But 120 in a 55 is insane. All that had to have happened was for some clueless grandma not paying attention to shift into your lane.
