Newsroom folks almost always make A LOT less than the general public believes they do.

The deal with these jobs is that it's a lot of fun and it's very exciting to be a part of television news.

But the pay... Jesus... long hours. Long, long hours. Few days off, and for what? TV doesn't pay shite for what you put into it.

But if you want to be in the mix... part of the action, and always know what's going on, it's damn cool to do it for a living. I miss it sometimes, but my bank account certainly does not.
