ETA: But your example of how hard it is to find free online content was eye roll worthy. No one is talking about trying to find movies still in theaters. You won't find that on the internet, free or otherwise.

Well, yes you will find it but it's pirated and often low-quality because it's taken with a video cam in a movie theater. There used to be half-a-dozen host sites that cataloged them and streamed them. When one would shut down another would spring up. This was six or seven years ago when bit torrents were still in their infancy.
