The Vietnamese restaurants we have aren't really what most people would call good. I really like one of them because they have very filling soups I like a lot for 10 bucks but at the back of my mind, it's silly. The soups are different shapes of beef randomly called every fricking type of steak imaginable despite the fact it isn't and it all tastes the same. Wonderful broth

I don't think it's Ghee as much as many folks that I know don't like Curry..either at all or in the prevalent levels found in many Indian dishes.
Also, even though this is South La, some of the dishes spice/heat level can scare off many folks.
