quote:i'd agree there's a learning curve to installing plug-ins and doing technical things in the settings, but the home interface is simple. and you can download different skins to change the look of it. i've been using the Conq skin for awhile now and like it. very clean and simple.
it seems like a cumbersome interface. I need something that my wife could figure out with ease. Is there some kind of customization that puts all of the different movie or tv show feeds into nicely aggregated sections that are easy to organize and navigate?

quote:probably. some popular shows are added to xbmc immediately, but others lag a day or two behind. i was watching Gotham on xbmc on monday at 8:50, and it aired live at 8:00. personally, i could have waited a day or two or a week to watch it, and that's fine with me.
I could ditch Plex/torrents, Hulu and Netflix and just use XBMC

Is there a good device similar to a Roku that is cableCARD compatible. I am downgrading to basic cable with Cox. I am planning on replacing my Cox receivers and just renting the cableCARDs. This will give me the basic channels through Cox with access to others online.
