I don't know man. 10 minute mile. That's barely running at all. I think there's a cut off point where those who could finish at all, would finish much quicker than you think. If that makes sense. I'm not sure how to explain what I'm trying to say. Like, if you can finish a mile, you can probably do better than 10 min/mile. But then, a lot of people would eventually finish but would walk portions so that would bring the average way down.
eta: I think among reasonably healthy people who can finish a mile without walking, 8 minutes is about right. Maybe that's not what this thread is about, though. But if you count people who walk then it fricks everything all up.
