I just find it a bit funny that Selma was given so much crap for dramatizing history in her film, but I haven't heard a peep about this movie, when the book has already been proven to be riddled with inaccuracies and outright lies
1) I feel like I've seen tons of stuff posted about the inaccuracies in American Sniper
2) Intentionally misrepresenting the character an American President in Selma to avoid any notions of there being a "white savior" in the Civil Rights movement is way different than recounting Chris Kyle's story based upon his own memoir. I don't think American Sniper lionized Kyle nearly as much as Selma slandered LBJ.

We were watching different movies then because AS completely lionizes him. Think about it. HE is the only one that can show those Marines how to go door to door. HE is the only one that could possibly take out amorphous enemy "bad" sniper dude. Considering that likely the majority of his kills are likely considered an enemy combatant based on his word and his word alone, I would damn sure hope he is truthful.

Have you seen Selma? There was no slandering of LBJ. There is documented proof he slow played civil rights in an effort to get his welfare program passed. The movie played that angle up for some dramatic effect. It was an exaggeration, but far from slander.
