Maybe it was just me but American Sniper wasn't great and neither was Hurt Locker. I think the movies were well done but they weren't good enough to say oh yeah that was a good movie when you walked out.

To put my problems with this movie is that you never felt like Kyle was in danger. A Gold Medalist sniper is hunting you and you never really felt like he had a chance to kill Kyle.

I thought it was a hell of a tribute to the guy, he kicked but in Iraq and gave a lot back to his fellow veterans. But just judging it as a movie it wasn't great but decent.

What was better probably Hurt Locker.

Never seen AS but still don't see why people rave about The Hurt Locker.

When he had him on the roof as the guy was down there with the powertool, were a few close calls there.
